Following the Premiere Lacrosse League, the United Soccer League has become the next sports league to engage with the hemp industry. The USL has partnered with the CBD company called Functional Remedies, which is contracted to be a four year sponsorship deal. Synchronicity, one of the brands made by Functional Remedies can look upon with excitement to see their products being advertised on USL stadium signage, websites, social media channels and app networks.

The USL is home to 47 professional clubs in both the USA and Canada. They also have over 180 amateur and youth club affiliates. The USL is broadcasted on ESPN which is a major network, giving them and the rest of the CBD industry the exposure they are thriving for.

Other hemp companies and sports leagues will definitely take note and see how successful this partnership becomes. It’s time for this taboo to end. Hemp is decriminalized across the US with the recently updated Farm Bill. Hemp derived CBD products are sold legally in every state.

This sponsorship deal is a huge stepping stone within the acceptance of herbal remedies and lifestyle by professional culture. Functional Remedies is a pioneer by getting into this space first and with the hemp industry steadily rising - they should reap the benefits.

Full spectrum hemp oil or CBD oil is used on a daily basis by a growing population of Americans. One thing to note is that full spectrum hemp oil* or extract* contains less than .3% thc. What does this mean? It means that when taking these products you will not feel high or elevated and you will not test positive for cannabis on a drug test.

Now, us USMJ representatives would love to see a Cannabis company enter into the professional sponsorship space, but we are not holding our breath.
