Is There A Reclassification Of CBD Oil On The Horizon?

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration Wants YOUR Input: Is CBD Beneficial?

Marijuana has many benefits, some of the most obvious stem from its psychoactive effects. However, it also has medicinal properties that come from its other, non-psychoactive compounds known as cannabinoids. While THC (or tetrahydrocannabinol) the most well-known cannabinoid is responsible for its psychoactive effects, cannabidiol, or CBD is also very beneficial for human health. Cannabidiol oil, often referred to as CBD, has the same great medical applications, but lacks the ability to produce the psychedelic high that smoking flower provides. The situation is giving the United Nations a difficult time in categorizing this derivative of the cannabis plant, so they are looking to YOU (our beloved readers) to talk about their experience and history of using marijuana with high CBD. cThis way, they may know more about how to reschedule marijuana, and its active chemical compounds (cannabinoids).

How Can I Learn More?

The re-classification of marijuana from a schedule I highly-regulated substance is an exciting change in United States law. You can learn more about these new regulations by logging in here, by September 13th.And remember: the U.S. government welcomes your suggestions. So, log on, and get involved! The steps you make today will be taken into consideration by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The agency has already made it known that those with neurological disorders can also reap major benefits from this oil, but they need more citizen backing. Although the outcome of this feedback on CBD is not necessarily a shoe-in with regards to federal consideration, it will strongly impact how CBD is dealt with at the World Health Organization, and UN level. It could also have some influence on how CBD oil is categorized federally, in the United States. For this reason, it is recommended to readers that they submit their best explanations as to just how CBD has worked for them in a write-up.

The Benefits of CBD: Proven and Recognized

Anna Abram, FDA Deputy Commissioner recently stated that CBD is useful for seizures, and epilepsy amongst other neurological disorders. The Drug Enforcement Agency, on the other hand, attempted to throw CBD into the Schedule I substance category amongst other drugs that have no value as medicine in the United States. The UN is not just considering the medicinal benefits of CBD, as other drugs with proposed medical benefits such as ketamine are now in the spotlight. Ketamine has been heavily scrutinized for its recreational use in the general population, however, in 2015 it was postponed to be categorized as Schedule IV. Often stereotyped as a club drug with hallucinogenic abilities, Time Magazine recently praised ketamine for its ability to quickly reduce depression. Of course, major pharmaceutical companies are eager to cash in, as Allergan, and Johnson & Johnson are currently working on their version of ketamine-inspired medicines, and securing patents to bring these to market. So, the question arises … are these drugs ready for a re-evaluation? The United States government thinks so. Let us know YOUR thoughts, and don't forget to login here to tell the U.S. FDA how you feel about CBD.
